Proof of Innocence is a privacy-preserving cryptographic proof where someone can prove they are not guilty / not on a blacklist / did not perform a forbidden action without revealing who they are or their private data. In Fluton, a POI is automatically generated every time the user creates an intent. If the proof is invalid, which means the user doesnโ€™t prove their innocence, the intent is not created.
โ€œWhen youโ€™re withdrawing from a tornado-cash type system, youโ€™d be able to specify which subset of deposits your withdrawal came from and youโ€™d be basically able to say โ€œIโ€™m a participant in this scheme and Iโ€™m not one of the recognized 35 DeFi Hackersโ€ Vitalik Buterin
